Back in 2000 when OSPA Theatre was just a dream, Matt Chamberlain brought The Anthony Wilding Story to Onewhero as one of the very first fundraising events. Now, 25 years later, he’s bringing it to the OSPA stage at 5pm on Sunday 2 March.
Hear how a young man from Christchurch took on the world’s best and beat them, winning Wimbledon four times!
This charming solo performance is set on the Mansfield tennis court and tells the story of the free-spirited Anthony Wilding as he tours England and Europe on his motorbike, and plays in tennis tournaments.
The Anthony Wilding Story has toured New Zealand extensively and was even performed at Wimbledon in 2003!
