Geoff Rowe & Bryce Patten

Saturday 23 November 2024. 7:30pm start.

OSPA Theatre, Hall Road, Onewhero

$25

Bryce Patten – professional long hair enthusiast and expert metal guitar shredder, is a regular at many a folk music night in Auckland. When he takes the stage with an acoustic guitar, his deft fingers navigate the fretboard with intricate melodies often seen only in heavier genres. To this he adds a tender vocal around a myriad of meaningful topics. He is a folk artist in a metal wrapper, a wonder to behold, and pleasure to hear.

Geoff Rowe – amateur no-hair enthusiast and expert nerd – is a sasquatch-like cryptid of the Auckland Folk scene. When he takes the stage, a mixture of sad, sweet, and silly songs makes people weep, fawn, and guffaw respectively. His lyrical trickery, combined with a broad set of interests, make more of a variety show, and he was asked to represent the Devonport Folk Music Club at the 50th Auckland Folk Festival in 2023 (before it got flooded).

Having regularly performed on the same bill, they have decided to join forces and venture to Geoff’s hometown of Onewhero. Combined, they promise to bring a unique mix of songs, and a night of exploring different musical stylings. We hope to see you there!

Saturday 23 November, doors open 7pm. Tickets on sale shortly!
